Asher Muldoon is a performer, writer, composer, and comedian based in New York City.

At the age of 19, he took time off from college to travel with the First National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen. Since finishing his degree, he has performed in numerous projects around New York, at various regional theaters, and internationally. Most recently, he finished a run as Jamie in an actor musician production of Jason Robert Brown’s cult musical The Last Five Years at Milwaukee Rep, in which he also played piano and guitar.

His first musical, an adaptation of Patrick McCabe’s novel The Butcher Boy, premiered at Irish Repertory Theater in the summer of 2022 while he was still an undergraduate. At Princeton, he wrote and performed with the Princeton Triangle Club, winning the Milton Lyon Award, a Princeton Writing Prize, and the Alan S. Downer Prize for his work. His work has been performed at 54 Below, Green Room 42, the Irish Arts Center, Symphony Space, UC Irvine, Princeton University, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the Irish Repertory Theatre. He is a 2025 Marvin Hamlisch award finalist, and a recipient of the 2025 Pipeline Arts Foundation grant.
